Narcotics Anonymous Meditation Beads

NA Meditation beads allow us to stop and "not-think". It is often our thinking that get's us into the most trouble in recovery. They are used as a counting form of meditation. Our program is a state of being in the moment and my meditation counting beads allow the time to create a gap in thought and action. When we are using our hands in any physical endeavor, we allow the access of our higher power into our process. I also recommend them for newcomers who are struggling with anger and impatience. I suggest they count the beads before acting out. Often in that process, the anger and gives way to spend a channel for non-action and reflection. At some point you will know exactly the number of beads on the stand and then they can become a reminder of the process.

The strands are individually hand strung and are approximately 34", made with multi glass beads from Africa (fair trade). There is an NA charm on the strand as both a starting and ending point, and then starting again, reminding us that recovery is a never ending process.
